Default Lag spikes

So I've heard they're happening because of a problem with the server?
If that's true, does anyone (Teshuvah or Arilou most likely) know when the issue will be resolved?

I guess I'm doomed to train one of my alts until the lag spikes go away.

There was never a problem with the server. Not sure who told you that.
There was a problem *points to the news* weeks ago with the IP that caused horrible lag for several weeks, that has been resolved long ago as well.

Im not aware of any lag issues at the moment that are coming from the server or the IP. Doesn't mean there arent any, but nothing that I know of or experienced myself.

Well I know that I'm lagging hardcore (I can run for a while, and then stop and have to wait for 10 seconds because of a delay), and Ceoof***age was complaining about the same thing last night. Zulo just mentioned lag as well when he was coming to MAH. I'll restart my router and such to see if that will help.

Yeah 3 players having lag doesnt mean there is a server or IP issue since some players always have lag. When it's the server or IP everyone has it and I was just on for quite a while and had no lag at all.

But we will keep an eye out on things.

Not sure how useful this is, but the list of people that have said something about it has increased.

vesrayech
katnip
xeifar
lunari (he says it's been happening for about a day so far)
sirkeaghan
nalas
ceoof***age
zulo
skyshooter

I read in another thread that someone couldn't play (forgot their name) because they were so far away from the server and they lagged. I don't think that's the problem in this case though, seeing as how everything was running smoothly a few days ago.

Yeah listing names of people that say they have lag is of no use. Thanks though.

Remember that lag can also be caused by your own internet connection or computer, having high bandwidth does not automatically mean that you have great response time.

Aye I know and recognize that my lagg is caused by the fact I'm on the other side of the world from the server, and my internet connection could be a bit better... (to say the least)

Though it is of dubious use in ever helping to solve a problem (assuming this is even a problem that can be fixed Wyvern-side), your time would be far better spent if you also asked them about their ISP, geographic location, whether or not they have a router (and perhaps brand and model), their operating system, and whether they're using the Java Webstart client . At the very least, if a particular pattern emerges we'll know the cause, or at least think we know it. It could be useless, though. (If you do this, though, I'd avoid attributing things, especially location, to a specific person and just show something like "person A: comcast, NW US, no router, Windows XP, No")

Just stating that over the last few days me and most people online have been having lagg spiked badly...I'am not saying posting this will help and I know i'll just get a nastly little comment about how "saying lagg doesnt help". But surly we arent all having our own ISP porblems. Maybe tho...idk.

I usually dont complain about lagg but I've already died like 10 times on my soon to be archer. Iam firing some arrows then the whole screen like freezes and bam..everything goes fast mode and i die...I'd assume the server is fine..seeing how the monsters walk around fine and kill me while iam locked up..but it cant just be me isp.. most people online complain about the lagg at the exact time I die/complain.

Agian...Please dont reply with a nasty comment...I'am really trying to figure it out 0.0

Ping test with cabochon.com: Fail (timeout)

(tested Seattle server because that's where wyvern is located)

I'm usually able to play with very little lag, the lag spikes just started happening in the past week.

How much ping is considered acceptable for playing wyvern?

Rhialto doesn't allow the server to be pinged, so ping isnt telling you anything but when it times out.
Rhialto has been notified that you are having lag issues, and that it isn't the server. Which means he has to deal with the internet provider again.
That's all we can tell ya.
The internet provider had very bad lag for a month+ and then was good for a week. So that must have been that week you had very little lag.

Apparently it should be better now, so let us know if you still experience the same issues.

I couldn't make it between Minath and Stoneybrook without getting a lag spike.
Last night it was lagging hard for me when Exile and I were doing the gauntlet. Not sure if it was "fixed" by then.

I'm still getting them, unfortunately.
