Ovrlndnsea has just set foot in the Tutorial Tower
Default Spirit travel

What exactly does it do?

Do you think there is any point in having it?

It reduces the amount of XP you lose when you die.
With 10 in the skill you lose 2% instead of 10%.
It's good at the higher levels, but it's useless from level 1-20, even though alot of players consider it useles even after that.

Do you know the XP loss for other levels than 10 and 0?

I would, but I doubt I can, so I think that 2.5 levels is a plenty cheap price to pay to allow me to die 5 times as much for the same xp loss.

I use it because there is no way to make me live longer anymore

There is always a way to using skill points to make you live longer.
Describe your character if you want me to explain why.

If I know the shoggoth is there then 3 thunderstorms makes it disappear, and that should drop to 2 once I have actually trained my air up. As long as I have full hp at the start I can melee it and still have about 100 hp to spare, one quick click and Heal puts me back to full.

I think last time I saw a monopod the highest form I was capable of was serpent. I can't recall if managed to run away or if I died. I think because of thier spell tendency I would now back off and see if I could get on the other side of a wall from them. Then a quick shift into death magic and I would let the destruction fly. Probably it would cost me 10k gold to kill it, but I wouldn't die that way.

I have yet to see a beholder. I guess the first time I meet one I will be trying to teleport away and then heal up.

Thanks for the compliments Warcow. I love having far too many options.

Now if I could just find that cube of interdimensional pain portals and figure out which way to turn it get the one to the monopod world I would be all set. Which bag was it in again? I forget whether I filed it in the one for imaginary objects, hurting, shiny things, or Hellraiser.

Well, 5 at least.

A better build I think would be:

25 Axes
20 Find Weakness
13 Strength
19 Incantation
14 Meditation
9 Merchant

Use rods to heal with and use Gauntlets of Power. (of course you don't need to. and since they break easy you might not want to.... but that would save 2 skill points that you could throw at med or something else.)
