Well, basically the only things I've listened to recently in English are Finch, Halifax, The Matches, and Brand New. They probably all fall under Punk Rock, I suppose, but I got bored with genres when all my friends decided everything I liked was &quot;emo&quot; even though 1) it isn't and 2) I'm not &gt;.&lt; So now I don't really classify music under anything other than &quot;I like it&quot; and &quot;I do not&quot;.

Also, a lot of J-Rock. I guess that's also pretty common now, since anime is getting [b:52b3a]really[/b:52b3a] popular, what with Adult Swim, and everybody is downloading the music from their favorite anime and whatnot and it expands to listening to a variety of Japanese music, and I hate to be one of those people who say, &quot;I LISTENED TO IT BEFORE IT WAS POPULAR!&quot; But . . . I did &gt;.&gt; It also really sucks when people are all, &quot;Oh, Japanese. What's up with all this Japanese junk!?&quot; Because you know, Japanese stuff is kinda flooding high school society these days, and you either think it's lame, don't really care, or you love it, but even if you can't understand the lyrics, it's still music, and foreigners can play music just as good as anyone else, so I'd like to think I can appreciate my guitar/bass/drum/keyboard mix in any language I choose.
