Default New Buildings set

I am looking to create some new buildings and i have came up with a rough concept for a set that i will work on after gathering feedback.

This is mainly aimed at wizards and constructive critisism from others is welcome.
Please view the image on the link below and let me know if you would like me to continue working with this style or if you would like any changes to be made. Just so i know if im heading in the right direction.

Nice start!
I would just say don't forget shadows and keep going. I like this style so far.

Indeed, it is quite promising.

It depends a lot on the landscape you plan to put them in.

They, especially the smith, look a bit... hmn... sharply depicted. Angular. Maybe rectangular.
*thinks*
Ah, that's it. Modern. Unelegant. Unpretty. Conjures images of endless rows of identical boring off-white houses full of identical boring off-white people who have identical boring mechanical lives in a miserable, unthinking, modern sort of way.
Well, not quite. It isn't at all that bad. Not even close. But that's the image it leads my train of thought to, so it must need at least a little improvement.
Don't use the same styles of building as are elsewhere even though that's easier.

In terms of art quality, they could use some anti-aliasing, but not on the color/transparent borders - that would look really ugly. Better/more coloring would also help.

Like I implied, there could be a map for which they fit well, but I haven't seen one in which it would work.
Have you made a map with them in it? If so, could you post a screenshot?

Before dismissing this post, note three things:
1. You asked for criticism.
2. I never compliment something unless I need to, I need to help a person's mental state/emotions out, or it is near perfect/not having any flaws I can find.
3. I'm told that I over-criticize and only criticize. It is probably true.

Don't get me wrong, there are definitely good things about the art. Just nothing that hasn't already been said and that I think is worth saying.

Whee little boxes! Modern America!

*shutters at the unrelenting monotony of a suburb*
