Newest balance
Wow, easier monsters that I never had problems with are now toasting me. Just today, a dragonfly killed me with one hit with dragonbreath. It was like "dragonbreath torched you completely with a gout of flame. You die." A beachball almost killed me with a firespray, and a dolly easily finished me off with icestorm. With the naga hydra form taking up a large area, there was more of a target for these spells...Ouch! Will there be a second round of balancing soon so I don't get slaughtered so easily by monsters using cone spells?

There will be some tweaking as we see how it goes. You dying to dragon breath without any fire resist is what should happen though. Dragonbreath is a very strong spell. Things like fire spray are the ones we are looking at to tweak though, not dragon breath. It is a much higher level spell and should be extremely dangerous and something you have to think twice before walking into it if you dont have extremely high fire resist. It causes you to find other ways to get through areas and find other ways to kill things. And just for general info, naga in hydra doesnt take any more damage than anyone else because it is 2x2. That is not how it works. Giants dont take more damage, nor do hydras etc. |

What I meant to say was that I take longer to get out of the path of the cone spell, not that I receive more damage.

Ah ok thanks for clarifying, yes hydra has the downfall of being slower to move as well.

This new balance should be fun to try out! I wonder how dangerous an oculus and floating eye is now...

Tichondrius, the naga monk, is still recovering from his severe burns. Dragonbreath is scarier than a hungry Arilou.

Yeah hydras definitely have some negatives they trade for fighting with 5 attacks and almost as much HP as a giant.
