Default Re: Where were you (in-game, or out) when the server went down?

I was working on one of my new builds when we were told it was going to be going down, so I spent the rest of the time in NVA.

I was chatting with some very new (level ~3-8) players with the intention of helping them with the game when the server went down. I had earmuffs on because all the shouts were interupting our communication, and I thought that it was just a normal server reboot. It took me a few days to find out that Wyvern was down. (I didn't know where the forums were at that time, being far less experienced than I am now.)

You might ask, upon reading the above post, how I could become far more experienced while the game was down. The answer lies in my highly low knowledge of the game (e.g. the fact that I was a level 17 human spellcaster not in the mage's guild and without spam heal, a mana shield, decent resists against all but cold and fire, and hardly any armor/clothing). Since it was so low, by simply reading forum threads I learned a massive amount.

I was at the Friday farmers market which My Family go's to. My Older brother & Younger sister stayed home this particular market. And when my mom and I got home and when my brother came out to help carry the leftover buckets of flowers inside he told me that Wyvern was down.. But that I shouldn't be worried because R said that it would be back up in a week or so..

To think I was upset that it would be down for a week!

I was working on my HoF pic ^^; then i was just thinking about attempting DM. I went to go on, I forgot who told me, but they told me Wyvern just went down and would be back in a few weeks. All I could think was "Oh great, it'll be down for months like my Ragnarök Online server....", and well >_>; I seem to be right.

*waits patiently*

But ewww I honestly dont want to see any low level players...New faces on wyvern dont go too well with me...Theyre so ugly..ewwww..and they STINK too..ewwww =[
[/quote:d058b]
Low leveled players =! New players

I, and a lot of others, will be resetting our character(s), and will therefore be low-leveled but not new.

*Cries* I was on holiday in scotland... completely unawares of what was happening... I was having withdrawel symptoms as I couldn't even get a connection to any internet up there.... grumbles about hlls and trees

I remember coming back for a week.... not being able to get online... Opening msn, and lotsa Wyvern friends sendng messages about it being down and being sent the link ta the forums...

Then I went off to Cornwall hoping it would be back online when I returned back home... Quite sad I couldn't have been there when it went down... I was probablly wondering round some old castle ruins at the time though... of hiking hrough forests

I was there, man, I was there...

As per my usual I was wandering around the world map trying to figure what the heck I was doing...

Unlike the more intelligent among us I have not used this downtime to my advantage and have instead forgotten even the most basic things about Wyvern. Even my password. Not much of a loss for the world of Wyvern, but still, I was there man...I was there.

I was at school when the server went down... so I blame school for making me miss the final moments of wyvern!!!
