Unhappy Incompatibility with non-english systems

When pressing the a key (like for example one of the arrow keys), the program behaves like if the key name was entered in the command box.
The problem seems to be that the entered key names are in the system language, which in my case is German.

When I am trying to move by using the arrow keys:

Can you re-alias the keys so that they are in English. Example being alias (whatever oben is) move north.

then, assuming oben was the up arrow key, it should move your north again.

What do you mean by re-aliasing? If you mean changing the codepage, that does not help.

I will probably use the Unix/Linux movement keys now.

You can alias keys, example: alias K move south, and when you press k you will move south. You may not be able to use the arrow keys, Mac users can't use them either. But for example is A which = apply comes out as something else for you, alias A apply

The game is programmed to allow players to assign any function to any key on the keyboard. That means that with what Salkand said, you can assign any action to any key name you choose by the command: Alias <keyname> <action>

You can also use the number pad to move which I find nice. In english it would look like: alias numpad-2 move south
or alias numpad-3 move southeast etc.

Im sure between all the people who hang out on the forums we can come up with any command you need to alias. Best of luck.
