Default Monk kitty buildup (a little rough)

This skillsets are examples for weaker kitties, such as leopards and panthers.
me wish this helps other kitties building up monks and anyone give me nice advice :P

At Lv20: 60 skill points

Unarmed: 20 [+10]
Strength: 10 {+5 from pots, +2 from girdle}
Meditation: 8
Spirit magic: 10 [-5] (for mana shield. pots are okay but you can't keep casting and so costly)
Incantation: 7 (for minor healing and other spells)
Lore: 5

At Lv25: 75 skill points

Unarmed: 25 [+10]
Strength: 13 {+5 from pots, +2 from girdle}
Meditation: 10
Spirit magic: 10 [-5]
Incantation: 7 (for minor healing and other spells)
Lore: 8 (if you use identify)
Merchant: 2 (MONEY.)

the point is mana shield spell. 5 spirits = 70% absorbing is enough. Of course you can use pots of mana shield,but you may be knocked out when you get a surprise attack of DB or other terrible attacks.

I use the skillset on my leopard and can do rd somewhat well (he can kill shoggies and monos).
Monks aren't so tough as cavy and axy, so they must avoid being surrounded or clinging to a hard monster such as monos until it dies.

And rak claws work well enough without FW. Yes FW helps but isn't necessary.
Also raks have enough much strength. On leopards, they can carry 212 lb without slowing down. It excels a bit than humans' max strength 210. Isn't it enough? Just have some great holding bags for loots if it's severe. Me have 4.

In fact, minor healing isn't necessary. they can have at least 10 healing skill and can add if 10 isn't enough.

Monk kitties may be most balanced, but not tough. Don't expect they kill and go fast :P

My cavy can kill hof human pally, and can win LQ. And you say they are weak? funny.
low dodge doesn't mean loser, strong doesn't mean fun, PK loser doesn't mean stink.

yeah if you are tiger you may not need mana shield and godhand's is best... but what will happen when surprise attacks of DB assault only about 150 hp!? Use shield as well mages, conjurers and some archers do >.>

well still its better than putting 12 pts in spirit, and 70% is enuf 4 an average hp race, the 10 healing can prolly compensate the 20% left.
[/quote:8c264]
If I have 70% mana shield I will take three times the damage as if I have 90%.

...70% x 3 = 90% ? ... my math's not godly but ......
(the fact that im multiplying a percent by a # shouldve tipped you off)
[/quote:50d2c]
You receive 30% damage if you have 70% shield and you receive 10% damage if you have a 90% shield.
10*3=30
