I have seen all the melee people talk, about old characters, and new having the best skill sets. It looks like wyvern might come back, so here is the proposition. Start a first level character, and train to level 15. Then we will have a tournament, to see who actually can have bragging rights in wyvern. Then it will be either put up, or shut up! I believe one of the wizards might take the entry fee, and deliver the prize.
If there is no prize, so what, I might keep up the winners/losers bracket, double elimination. Then just prove in combat who is the best.
Me is in a dwarf gripey mood, so ignore the typing. But Ladys, and fellows, who will enter the Tournament?

If people really are convinced thier set is best why sould they need help from high people to get "special" equips? Just declare the following rules.




1: No Quest Items
2: No Artifacts
3: No Guilding




That should remove 90% of all unwanted variables and cheating.

What about fire resists? I can take a whole DB with 90% fire resist (except the most powerful DB's) and I only am a level 17 human.

Was, that is. I'll be probably restarting as a halfling once the server is back up.

Heh. If it was a no armor no weapon rule, Tiger rak would kill everyone, cause they dont use weapons anyways (usually).

But if we would be having anyway a fire level of sufficient level for 90% resist, then why not use it?

Well, for all the contestants, they could be all giants, all I care. Its just what you can train, and acquire until level 15. So like I said, just make a new melee player for the tournament, collect items for attack, defense, and healing. Give everyone 2 months to train, then show why Kikli's a killbash. Level double 10 armors not possible for 15 level person, anyways.
And as for the fussing, I said, melee, no attack magic. And if someone can guild fast, they are going to use 100k gp for guild fee, less for training skills, and potions. Also a melee person should know what skills they need, and race bonuses that help. As for item trading, this is for bragging rights, so the illegal thingy should be at a min. Level 15 is about the perfect range for the combatants. Remind me to flatter Kharpern for a assitant judge <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><!-- s -->

Seriuosly... level 15 death mage would sooo rule... &gt; &gt; I have one at level 9 that can insta kill Wyverns and Hydras.

There should be certain classes for the tourny.

-No restrictions on gear/guild/spells/magic

-Meele only, level 15 only (includes magic whip users)
-No other restrictions

-Meele only, level 15 only
-No magic/spells/guilds
-any gear is alowed as long as it is not Quest Gear

-Mages only, level 15 only (magic whippers are allowed)
-No other restrictions

-Mages only, level 15 only
-No meele/guilds

Then the winners of each tournament will compete in a final Tournament

The winner of that will be ultimate winner.

Rules:
-You may enter 1 character per tournament
-If you win first place with more than one character you may decide which will move to final tournament. Then the next placers in the other tournaments that your alts won in will move to final match.
