Wow, I cannot believe that this forum is still up. I thought Wyvern was gone forever! So good to hear that it MAY come back, couldn't be happier. It's been 4, long, Wyvern-less years. Even at college, I still think about the game from time to time. I'd love to play again.

It's been less than a year - The last downtime was 15 months.

Yeah, you should have, and I think it would have actually, but these things do happen.

And yeah, Wyvern's not dead yet, and we've not abandoned it.

I actually find the smaller playerbase rather refreshing. I tend to believe it's what's made Wyvern such a tight-knit community in recent years; and I'm not sure if you were around in the ol' days of 70+ players, but it was quite hectic, and oft hard to find a place to train at times.

I'd love to see the playerbase grow in proportion with the game itself though, but I think we're a long ways from that yet - especially with the Wizards not holding the attitude of actively promoting the game while they work out bug fixes - and we're still in Beta test, at that.

I bet I could make a game, that is a perfect clone of Wyvern....Screw that...Lets just open source Wyvern, already!

Hmm then you will know everything about the game, what the best armor combo is, how much armor class every armor peice gives, what the best weapon to character is, how much weapon class each weapon type gives, what the highest damage per second character is, no new content being added unless your talented in art and coding.


If i knew everything about the game, no special events, and no content added i would get bored and go play something else. Opensource would stink :/

That's what was awesome though. it forced people to look around and explore, so the demand for new content was high, and was delivered upon. Now I just see alot of people doing the same thing over and over.....
