I don't remember a chapel in NV. Where is it?

(unless, of course, you are talking about the cathedral, in which case you need to edit your post)

there is a chapel.... but you don't spawn in it. Up by the graveyard.

That isn't NV; it is the town near NV, although it is in the NV area.

[b:31035]Crossfire[/b:31035] seems pretty similar to Wyvern, and the server "MetalForge" seems to be the best. I have tried out most of the other servers and they generally have an unstable playerbase, and some confusing things that don't make sense. And they generally lag a lot.

[b:31035]Endless[/b:31035] reminds me of classic Runescape, and while it's kind of cool, whenever I ask anyone for info on how to do something, they either don't answer me, or say something rude.

I haven't yet gotten the chance to play [b:31035]Oblivion[/b:31035], though its graphics are much too shiny. Also, it seems to have been ruined by everyones high expectations of it.

[b:31035]Guild Wars[/b:31035] is pretty nice, one thing I like about it is you only have to pay for it once, not month per month, and is extremely better than WoW (though thats not saying too much). The combat (especially PVP) was really intensive, and it really gets my adrenaline going. However, you can almost never group with other players except in the main quests, since when you're already in the field you can't see/interact with anyone.

[b:31035]World of Warcraft[/b:31035] is probably the game with the most hype and the least awesomeness, rolled in one. The class system seems very imbalanced, the graphics overly cartoony, a "currency system" in wich, if you took away the pictures of gold/silver/ect, and added in some commas, it would be [i:31035]exactly[/i:31035] the same. In addition, it seems as if people like it just because they want to be attached to something. The only good thing about it that I can see is that it is attached to the Warcraft storyline, though several things are strange inconsistencies.

I heard Furybreed mention something about [b:31035]Halo 3[/b:31035], and I can just say this: Dear god, no. FPSs will be the death of me, coupled with the boredom and lameness that inevitably follow.

[b:31035]EverQuest[/b:31035] used to be quite the nifty game, however, it seems to have become yet another teeth-grinding raid game. They, as mentioned in my Tibia paragraph, have ruined many, many economic/social structures that were perfect and complex by making updates that nullify them.

[b:31035]Shining Tears[/b:31035] (a PS2 game) is quite fun, though I haven't beaten it yet. I particularly like the 2-player functionality, it's not too fun without it. The graphics leave something to be desired, and the skills system is somewhat questionable, though kind of nidty. I don't like it how the two players can't be on a sort of split-screen type thing.

There, I'm done. I doubt most people read this post the whole way through, but it does have some info about games. Sorry if I seem somewhat critical, but I'm in a sort of dark mood this month. However, everything I have said is true, to the best of my knowledge. Cheers!

My picks are:
The MUD where I have been spending most of my time http://www.achaea.com/main.html

And one I just started playing, for the old timers among us it is Trade Wars on steroids: http://www.starportgame.com/

But I really want Wyvern back!

Default Books! BG&E, too.

Almost forgot to mention that [b:31c6c]Beyond Good and Evil[/b:31c6c] is the [i:31c6c]best[/i:31c6c] PS2 game [u:31c6c]ever.[/u:31c6c] It has puzzles, battles that don't halt gameplay, storyline, monetary system[i:31c6c]s[/i:31c6c], races (if you want to only), music, environments.... Zounds.

In my opinion, non-graphical MUDs are rather boring, because even though it seems to be just like an interactive book, I never really get a feel for the landscape, which is a big thing that I, personally, like in a game. However, I [i:31c6c]do[/i:31c6c] understand why many people enjoy them (unlike Halo!), and do not bash them in [b:31c6c]any way, shape, or form.[/b:31c6c]
That said, I particularly enjoy books (not really a game, but still something to do), and I also seem to especially enjoy books in the [u:31c6c][b:31c6c][i:31c6c]Forgotten Realms[/i:31c6c][/b:31c6c][/u:31c6c] world. For a few particularly pleasing storylines, I recommend the following:

The Avatar Trilogy
Books on Drizzt Do'Urden
Elminster Books
Artemis Fowl (and the following titles)
The Chronicles of Prydain
The Circle of Magic (and The Circle Opens)
Finder's Bane (Haven't read the rest in the Finder'ses series, yet)
The Harpers (Forgotten Realms, not sure if there are other books with like titles)
Well of Darkness (Kind of depressing though, the side I was rooting for didn't win)
Sword of Truth
Dragonlance Books
_

I realise that there are probably a lot of great books that I've read that I'm sadly forgetting, but I've listed quite a few series anyway, so I'm not unduly worried.

Just A Thought...

Edit: P.S. - For cool music, try googling "Dubmood", I especially like the Monkey Island song!

[b:d5da1]TAKE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN READING MESSAGE. IF YOU DO NOT POSSESS A NINTENDO DS, YOU MAY NOT UNDERSTAND A THING.[/size:d5da1][/b:d5da1]

Or... how about, if anyone here actually has a Nintendo DS (fat chance), the game "Metroid Prime: Hunters" (fat chance), and a Wi-Fi connection source (fat chance), we just add each other on our friends list, and we have a big match on Wi-Fi?

AGREED!
Still waiting for BG&E 2. I even read some 'real' fans buying 5 copies or something so the makers would have sold enough to make a second one.
[/quote:66525]

Yeah, me too.
According to the Wikipedia aritcle on it[/url:66525], it was originally going to be a [i:66525]trilogy[/i:66525].
'Dreams of BG&E 2 and 3'

Anyhow, I need to try out [b:66525][u:66525][i:66525]Tales of the Sword Coast[/i:66525][/u:66525][/b:66525], is it on the same engine as either Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale or Neverwinter Nights?

yeah you cant really go 5 minutes on runescape without hearing the word low level player low level player or low level player (im being linient its probably less then 5)
[/quote:95908] Wow, that is so funny. I played Runescape a few times, and I noticed that, and it was the most irritating thing ever. "How much is this ore worth?" "STUPID **** STFU!!!!!!" "Huh?" Four different people: "STFU!!!!" "****!!!" I swear, irritating as hell. I once tried to talk some sense into some people at a mining place, and I got barraged by that, even why I wasn't saying anything. Even the "Its not new players who are ****s, its people who don't even know the true meaning of the word and say it almost randomly" doesn't work on them. Half the reason (At least) why that game sucks so much, is those idiotic people.
