Default New race idea

I realize i posted this on another persons thread and zeofar pointed out that i should make my own thread so here it is. Viable or not, goofy or not.

This may or may not be viable, but as Morphan said, the chance of a new race being coded is unlikely anyways. Here it goes

Bird type Creature (perhaps eagle or falcon or owl even)
Hp: 40 +4 per level
Sp: 60 +6 per level
3 skill points per level
Starts with fly, like a pixie. Practically immune to fear.
Loses cut (talon) attack if weilding shield or wearing boots.
Cannot wear shield with boots.

Attacks slower than a halfling, but attacks twice per hit. Once with stab damage according to unarmed (with the beak), and once with cut damage according to unarmed (with its talons).

2 unarmed (from natural ability)
2 dodge (from natural ability)
1 spirit travel (from natural ability)
1 meditation (from natural ability)

I'm rather fond of this idea, maybe its not great but please let me know.

It sounds good, but just the thought of players being birds seems weird. I don't understand the natural spirit travel either..

I didn't really know what else to give him for the spirit travel, i thought maybe birds were the most in touch with the "spirit" world. Meh, they don't need it it could be taken out. As for birds flying around wyvern? Perhaps zeofar had a point in that they should be more bird men/women instead of actualy birds. Perhaps give them the ability to land but then they lose their natural attacks. I don't know its just a crazy idea

Exactly my point, although i do agree that adding a new race when people are used to the ones we have makes it a little different. not that there`s going to be a new race i just thought it`d be cool to have a race with a double type attack basically.

I guess I was thinking like.. looking completely like a bird? Unlike raks who stand up, and nagas who have well.. naga form. I could see variations of a bird race not just like full bird with no human figure.. how would they interact with everyone else? lol

'chirp, chirp chirp!'
'...uh, what?'

Just like nagas have a filter of 'sss' because they're part snake or whatever.
I don't see how birds could interact unless they were part human, I could see like masks or something with wings.
