Reminds me of this bug that didn't teleport you when you died. I was only level 15 or so but I died, and didn't get teleported. Stupid me I thought I was invincible, so I went to test my invincibility. Later I realized that every hit I took after being killed the first time took away from my XP as if I kept dying. I ended up losing all my XP and making a new character.
