A pvp mage should use blink,teleport, and recall to escape from foes.
Mana shield is a MUST, and high dodge also helps...
A good mage keeps spamming spells...til their opponents resists run out
Its also handy to have a rod of thunderstorm or wand handy..or even db wand
.. I tend to have plenty of them...
