I was going to put this in the Update Megathread but since it's a new game I'll start a new one. I inquired to R about the new game, and he shot me back an email. He said I could share this stripped down version:

I'm really looking forward to this "sequel". Its been far too long since I decided to log on a game to just stand around and chat in an auction house. Of course I'll have to try and do the HoF equivalent first but then I'll spend countless hours doing nothing just like the old days. After proofing this I realized it has a sarcastic tone to it but I say it all in honesty. I've missed being able to play wyvern and am looking forward to playing whatever R is cooking up for us.

Wow, I hope I can get in on the Beta for this.

Not going to lie I would totally play anything he were to make after the greatness that was Wyvern. Although, between Crossfire, ToME, And Conquest of Elysium 3, I have my wyvernish category full...but I could always make room for something else.

Either I just got back from the optometrist and they did a number on my eyes, or I'm really drunk.

You should ask him to provide a screenshot or two.

A screen shot of what? Source code?

I would certainly hope he has some sort of GUI working after 150-200+ hours on a project. It's not unrealistic to think he would be using placeholders of some sort if all he is doing is strictly code.

How about I get Contrare to put together a nice screenshot for you?

I don't/won't use Reddit for personal reasons, but I'd like to be added to the list of potential candidates for beta testing. Please consider this post an expression of my interest!

Super excited to see that Wyvern isn't dead yet. My craving for this game hasn't been satisfied by anything else, and I've been itching to play it again for years. I'm an addict and I need help :(

hey arilou i started to play wyvern 6 months before it went down the first time. By any chance if i still had the client from then and sent it too Rhialto would that help at all ?

*rubs forehead* Uh, no, Rhialto has the client.
