Is there a way to remap controls

For some reason, HJKL instead of the arrow keys is mapped for default movement. Is there some way to change this, or at least some explanation as to why this would happen?

hmm, that is a strange occurance, and you are using windows?

anyway, yes there is a way to change your controls. Its called 'aliasing' and it is explained here:

This is because vi > Emacs.

What Khalon said is likely the best method. Remember that the up arrow = north, down = south, etc.

If your keyboard has a numpad, you could and see if that works instead. It allows for diagonal movement too, so that is a plus.

The arrow keys normally work. What output do you get when you press the arrow keys?

Contrare

I don't know about Shaded Scribe, but my arrow keys don't work either. It tells me that → is an unrecognized command, and won't let me alias aything to them either.

Your using a Mac aren't you (Can we get a sticky on Macs?)

Yes, the arrow keys do not work on a Mac, you has to alias other keys. I Use I,J,K,l to move.
